Brymbo Creatives

Brymbo Enterprise Centre

Since November 2022, we have been working with learners at BTRT to develop their Traditional craft skills.

Originally starting as a warm hub for the community, learners have developed skills around the wider use of fleece before moving onto beginners and intermediate embroidery.

A core group began to emerge, who worked on a mural of Brymbo and its history which now sits proudly in the Enterprise centre.

The group have adopted the name ‘Brymbo Creatives’ and have moved onto learning more about the numberacy involved in their creations - sometimes researching advanced theories such a hyperbolic curves and pascals triangles!

The group our now going to start looking at creations for retail at the enterprise centre that can be sustainable and representative on the site.

These designs will eventually be show to a new cohort beginning in September, working towards long term sustainability of these groups, the traditional crafts as well as creating unique mementos to visitors of their visit.
