Denbigh High School

Heritage Crafts

This term, our tutors, Mandy, Gill and Vicky have been very busy delivering heritage craft workshops at Denbigh High School.

Pupils across Years 7, 8 and 9 have had the opportunity to learn how to macrame and created lovely keyrings. The slate coaster etching sessions were very popular and we heard from a parent to say her child was so inspired, they were keen to continue it as a new hobby. The sessions also led to a request for a parents' workshop. Planning for this to happen in the new term. Thank you to Asst. Head, Stuart Howson, for co-ordinating the days with us.

With Achieve More Training's Good Wood project, we have also funded an introduction to carpentry course for a group of pupils. All worked really hard over the past few weeks and will achieve an Agored L1 unit accreditation for the efforts. Well done to all! We look forward to presenting you with your certificates next term.

Thank you to Rebecca Frost for the opportunity to work with your learners.

Team Networking

Wrexham

This month, we were able to bring some of our wonderful team of tutors together for a networking and information session. There were some fabulous ideas discussed and lots of partnership working happening within the room.

We loved meeting the newest members to our team here too!

We are always on the look out for professionals in their field. Please get in touch if you are interested in working with us.
