Pyrography Benches, Llangollen

We are really excited to be involved with this amazing project and can't wait to see the benches sited around the town!

Llangollen Town Council are replacing a number of benches in the area that have disappeared or been damaged over the years. We have funded a Tutor for a Community Art Project for members of the Community to decorate the benches with images celebrating local history, culture, landmarks, landscape, heritage and wildlife. The images are being created using pyrography - the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface using a specialist tool.
