Working Women Exploring Heritage Crafts, Caru Gwlan
There is a small group of professional Llangollen women who meet weekly in each other's homes. They wanted time to craft together as relaxation. All the women hold responsible jobs, are very aware of the area's environmental challenges, are interested in supporting local industry (in this instance local hill farmers) and are keen to help promote the use of locally produced fleece. Outside Lives, Traditional Skills Workshop
Wednesdays at the Denbigh Workshop have officially wrapped up, and what a run it’s been. Over the months, this group has built an impressive range of projects... cabinets, stools, guitar stands, and countless beautifully turned pieces on the lathe. Welsh Love Spoon Carving Results! Heritage Works
What a fantastic seven weeks! Our learners have designed, carved and finished their very own traditional love spoons, keeping this beautiful heritage craft alive. Throughout the course, they learned about the history and meanings of traditional design features and how to safely use the tools to create their own spoon to take home. Huge congratulations to all who took part, we were blown away by the quality of work achieved! Stay tuned for future wood working courses!

Heritage Taster Days, Brymbo Enterprise Centre
We loved welcoming pupils from Ysgol y Grango and Ysgol Rhiwabon (Ruabon school) to Brymbo Enterprise Centre this week for a Heritage Taster Day! Pupils took part in Macrame, Ceramics and Blacksmithing! We were really impressed with the enthusiasm shown by all pupils and we are looking forward to welcoming Darland, Ysgol Bryn Alyn and The Maelor School, Penley next week!
